March 15th, the Historical Society welcomes Fairport’s own Howard and Doug Sharp
The Perinton Historical Society operates the Fairport Museum, located at 18 Perrin St. in the Village of Fairport.
A special event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 15th, 7pm, as the Historical Society welcomes Fairport’s own Howard and Doug Sharp. This father and son duo are 2-time Grand Champions of The Great Race and will discuss their experiences. This multi-state rally is an antique, vintage and collector car competitive controlled-speed rally on public highways. Only autos built in 1972 or earlier may participate. Howard and Doug won the race in both 2011 and 2015, driving their 1916 Hudson Pikes Peak Hillclimber. The Sharps own and operate RV&E Bike and Skate, located on Main St. in Fairport with a second shop in Canandaigua.
The Sharps intend to participate in the 2016 rally which will begin June 18th in San Rafael, CA and finish in Moline, IL.
The Museum event on March 15th is free of charge.
