Where does “Everyone Meat”? At Skip’s Meat Market, of course! In the Fairport Village Landing Mall, Skip’s has been selling fresh cut pork, beef and chicken products since 2005. You’ll also find a wide variety of specialty sausages made on the premises. Skip’s uses only fresh meat and spices, hand-cranking out each and every link. No preservatives are used in these sausages!

Drive all the way to the back of the parking lot behind Riki’s, past the kayak rentals and the large building is Sweet Melissa’s/Plant Paradise. Chase Farms has pumpkins! Visit this family-run farm on Pannell Rd. in Fairport to pick-your-own pumpkins. This Fall, the farm will also have mums, winter squash, apples, gourds, potatoes, garlic, Brussel sprouts and cauliflower; sweet corn until the first frost. Three great events to for your family to attend, or just yourself! The new, Crossfit Rochester Standing Strong for Women Challenge starts the morning activities at 8am, followed by The Scarecrow 5K at 9am. Run or walk the scenic 5K course through the Village of Fairport and along the Erie Canal. It's fast, flat and scenic, weaving through Fairport Village and finishing along the canal. At 10am a Family Fun Run and Obstacle course begins for ages 3 & up.

The RESOLVE Scarecrow 5k has been raising awareness and funds to prevent domestic violence.
A long-established Fairport tradition continues when the Fairport Scarecrow Festival kicks off the Fall season. On Saturday, October 3rd , walk down Main Street in Fairport and you’ll see an amazing array of scarecrow creations lining Main Street. This Festival is a wonderful reason to stroll down Main St., discover shops and restaurants, and most-likely bump in to your neighbors as they also enjoy the engaging Fairport Village.

Fall means Oktoberfest!! And the fastest growing Oktoberfest in New York is the Fairport Oktoberfest on Oct. 2nd and 3rd. Music, traditional German dancers, authentic German Cuisine, and beer! The fest is held under the Big Top Tent at the Fairport Junction Festival site, so regardless of the weather, the show goes on. Entry fee.
