Whether you are a job seeker, a want-to-be traveler, or a mom looking for opportunities to keep her kids busy this summer, the Fairport Public Library offers a broad range of story-times, classes and parties!
On Sunday evenings, beginning July 12th, music will be featured at the Patricia S. Knapp Amphitheater at Center Stage at Center Park. What better way to end a summer weekend then sit outdoors on a Sunday night with your neighbors and listen to great music! It all starts at 6pm; see the schedule at, http://www.perinton.org/Departments/Recreation/cntrstage/ Each Sunday a different food truck will be on site as well as food concessions. In addition, a special concert is scheduled for Saturday, July 25 – the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra will begin playing at 7:30pm.
Just down the road from StoneBrook is Lollypop Farm, run by the Humane Society of Greater Rochester. For $40 (cats 1 year and older) or $75 (cats under 1 year) you can adopt a cat. The fee includes spaying and neutering, vaccinations, feline leukemia testing, and more! Rochester Real Beer Week, June 12 -21, consists of a series of craft beer related events across the Rochester region, including Donnelly’s Public House in Fairport.
On Tuesday, June 16 at 7:00p Jason Elsworth of TJ Sheehan Distributors will host at Donnelly’s a blind tasting of 15 Rochester area beers. Points will be awarded to the 18 pre-determined contestants for correctly identifying the brewery, beer style, and beer name. Stop by Donnelly's to "study" for the big test!

On Sat. and Sunday, June 6th and 7th, the Main St. in Fairport and several side streets are closed to traffic as artisans, food vendors and entertainers take to the streets!
Canal Days has been a tradition in Fairport for 39 years, rain or shine. It is a wonderful opportunity to see neighbors and friends, listen to great music, eat, drink, and, be wowed by the crafts and artistry created by the 200+ artisans in attendance. Hours are 10-6 on Sat. and 10-5 on Sunday.
And the best kept “secret” may be the Chicken BBQ on Friday evening, June 5th, from 4:30 to 9:00 pm at Fairport Junction (Liftbridge Lane East). Also enjoy a free, live concert performance by some of Rochester’s best known bands.
